I am getting close to designing the book cover for my contemporary suspense novel.
Trying tonget some ideas for possible images so would like to pose a question to people here.

Q. What images/cover does the title - In-Between Girl immediately come to.mind to you?

No right or wrong answer just trying yo get a feel on what potential reder.might go for

My first thought was having a picture of each community (or something representing each community) with her between them. Not sure what could represent each one.

For a suspense novel, where a girl is... hmm... in-between (torn? conflicted? divided loyalties, caught in the crossfire?)... seems like "in-between" needs an upgrade that implies something more suspenseful?

Honestly the title doesn't really seem to say that much at first glance.
When calling upon my imagination to make something up, the first thing that came to mind would be like an old rickety rope bridge thing that looks like it's about to collapse between two mountains (or you could put buildings to represent cities) with a cloudy picture of a girl in the middle of the bridge.
second idea, have a dusty road with people or buildings, etc. that show some differences from the other side with the girl in the middle.

But I have no clue what your book is about, so that may all make no sense for your book.

Thank you people for your feedback.
I appreciate that for some the title doesn't seem very intriguing without knowing the full blurb
